Understanding Connecticut Town Permits
Each town in Connecticut has a different system for how they do things, and with 169 municipalities in the state, that is a lot of variation for how to get things done. For instance, some towns have dedicated Inland Wetland Departments, while others combine Inland Wetlands with the Zoning Department. Some towns don’t even have Inland Wetlands staff and handle all permits through their Commission. And since each town may have different regulations for wetlands, for zoning, for building, and for stormwater management, it can get confusing fast. And on top of all of that, you can’t forget about the state Health Districts that also require permits.

To help us navigate all of this, we have Connecticut Association of Zoning Enforcement Officials (CAZEO) certification, Inland Wetlands Commissioner training certification, and Aquifer Protection Zone certification along with our regular degrees and years of experience.
